Do you want to help shape the future of international transport management and contribute your expertise in a dynamic, global environment? As Director (m/f/x) International Transport Management, you will lead a dedicated, international team and develop innovative transport solutions for our customers in the Healthcare business unit from our headquarters in Gütersloh or from our locations in Cologne or Düren, with the option of mobile working.

Your mission

• Leadership with vision: You have the technical and disciplinary responsibility for the international transportation team (Transport Management, Solution Design, Service Delivery, Project Management) and lead your team with a clear vision, a people-oriented leadership style and promote individual strengths as well as collaboration.
• Strategic support: You will work closely with Account Management, Business Development and Solution Design and drive RFQs and new customer implementations.
• Customer-centric: You optimize transport solutions for over 30 international customers from the pharma and medtech sector and conduct regular business reviews.
• Problem solver: You support internal departments and customers in escalations in cooperation with suppliers.
• Process optimization: You drive standardization and process improvements in an international environment (GPO for transport).
• Globally networked: As part of the Global Management Team of the Business Unit, you are directly involved in strategic decisions.

Your profile

• Expertise: You have a degree in economics, industrial engineering with a focus on logistics/transport or a comparable degree.
• Leadership experience: You have several years of experience in leading and developing teams and value an empathetic, supportive leadership style.
• Experience: Several years of professional experience in the European transportation and logistics environment has sparked your interest in intelligent, IT-supported solutions.
• Network: You have a strong network with suppliers in the pharma and medtech sector and are familiar with GxP requirements.
• Customer-oriented: Experience in customer and project management as well as sales characterizes you.
• Fluent: Very good English skills, ideally supplemented by another language, round off your profile.
