As Finance Manager with a focus on Scandinavia, you are the point of contact for all financial and commercial matters at our wind farms. This includes providing the relevant key financial figures and managing Joint Ventures (JVs).

About the job:

  • You will fully take over the financial management and performance tracking for our offshore wind farms and be the sole point of contact for financial and commercial matters (addressing and flagging issues early)
  • In your role, you will be the central point of contact for all commercial areas, such as Accounting, Controlling, Procurement, Insurance, Tax and Legal, and will ensure that RWE's financial processes, guidelines and best practices are met and utilized
  • You will independently prepare and implement the budget planning (MTP, LTP and forecasts) and the monthly reporting (internally and for the JV)
  • You create complex business plans and models for internal and JV purposes
  • In addition, you provide information for internal and external benchmarks. In this context, you independently prepare decision templates for important decisions with comparative economic analyses
  • Additional responsibilities include autonomous contract and claims management, as well as risk and insurance management. In this context, you will assist with:
    • Coordinating and handling complex contract disputes and end-of-warranty processes, as well as commercial and technical complaints for all relevant contracts in collaboration with Procurement, Legal and Technical teams
    • Development and implementation of processes and procedures to ensure adherence with quality and compliance standards in the management of all commercial aspects
    • Managing the overall risk overview and mitigation measures in collaboration with engineering and O&M management staff, and coordinating risk reporting to the central risk team
  • Developing the interface with RWE Insurance and supervising all insurance claims
  • Review and approve dividend proposals and other financial statements and obligations for the JVs, supporting the General Managers (GMs) with JV partners' approval

Job Requirements:

  • You have a master's or relevant degree in finance or economics. A technical degree with a significant financial focus is also sufficient
  • You also have several years of relevant experience in the energy business. A proven background in controlling, finance and asset operations in a utility company or similar is advantageous
  • Your experience includes project, contract and risk management, as well as experience in project financing and other forms of financing
  • You have experience in managing JV constellations or complex stakeholder management
  • Solid communication skills, excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Confident when presenting to large groups and senior management positions
  • Good business-management knowledge with experience working in international groups
  • Proactive, reliable and structured way of working
  • You are comfortable using your business-fluent English in your daily work
