IT Sales Consultant/Sales Engineer (m/f/d)

As a Sales Engineer/IT Sales Consultant (m/f/d), you will act as a technical expert and consultant for customers, business partners, and sales teams. You will work closely with our sales managers to assess, initiate, and secure the sales process for our enterprise clients.

You will collaborate with our largest international B2B clients, leveraging your business knowledge, product expertise, and deep technical understanding to comprehend their business, customer-specific, and technical needs, and develop a corresponding solution based on our product components. You will work closely with our product team, actively contributing your knowledge to product development.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Represent technical and functional expertise in our products and support the development of business opportunities from qualification to deal closure and implementation/go-live
  • Collaborate with the sales team in developing cross-product solutions to ensure a compelling message for sales
  • Understand customers, buyers, and their procurement areas, and be able to create a convincing value proposition for specific customer situations, or understand and define technical requirements to solve their challenges
  • Be familiar with every feature of our growing products and functions, and assist with all technical inquiries
  • Monitor the status of change requests throughout the lifecycle, enforcing and redefining requirements when necessary
  • Develop a cross-product standard for solution design and requirements management to support product owners and improve product alignment

Qualifications:

  • Technical background (degree in IT, engineering, or a similar field)
  • Deep understanding of the challenges large companies face when adopting a technology product
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT sales or consulting for companies with a digital focus, preferably in the FinTech industry
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams (e.g., product, legal, sales, etc.) to quickly find solutions that meet customer goals
  • Analytical thinking and a structured approach to work
  • Empathy and persuasiveness, able to hold business and technical conversations at multiple levels of the company
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills English (C1-C2), German is a plus
