Junior BCMS Manager (m/f/d)

What will be your challenges in this role:
- You will help create and sustain the BCMS, focusing on regulated entities in Europe and following a risk-based approach. You will ensure that the BCMS is consistent with the organizational objectives.
- Support business and support functions, ensuring effective and compliant business and IT resilience and recovery strategies.
- Report findings to management and assist in trend analysis to inform strategic decisions. You will also support your team in reporting to the authorities on regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to discuss and track the implementation of mitigation plans.
- Contribute to ensuring compliance with internal and external BCMS requirements, such as ISO 22301, GDPR, or any relevant industry standards.
- Additionally, you will participate in planning and conducting third-party exercises related to business continuity and disaster recovery in the context of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
What you bring to this position:
- Completed studies in risk management, information systems, business administration, or a related discipline.
- You have some background in Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS), preferably in regulated sectors, with a focus on IT/Tech resilience and recovery approaches, or you are keen to learn more about this field with basic knowledge.
- A foundational knowledge of BCMS standards (ISO 22301, ISO/IEC 27031), risk assessment, and business impact analysis.
- You are familiar with best practices around crisis management, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery procedures.
- You may have already earned certifications such as CBCI, CBCP, or ISO 22301 Lead Auditor or are keen on pursuing such.
- Strong communication skills in both German and English.
- Passion about organizational resilience, risk management, IT recovery strategies, and business continuity.
- You are willing to travel nationally and internationally (up to 25%) when needed.
