Product Manager – Solvency Risk & Creditworthiness Assessment

Verl, Berlin, Amsterdam or Tallinn

As a Product Manager in Customer Risk, you will be part of a cross-functional, agile product team responsible for our central risk decision platform in e-commerce and payments. Your core objective is to move forward with developing this platform to create value for our internal and external customers. Your role is integral to our company's success.

What will be the challenge in the role:

  • Lead the product development activities for the area of solvency risk, including prioritization, product discovery, and delivery across multiple product lines
  • Drive the end-to-end product development, working alongside our engineering, risk steering, data science, and product experience teams to identify and implement innovative solutions that create value and are viable against the relevant internal business constraints
  • Define the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for solvency risk mitigation strategies across the customer lifecycle
  • Found deep knowledge of the market and the competitive landscape, internal stakeholders and their constraints, as well as the tech setup and organization
  • Spread the product vision & and strategy, foster technology-enabled innovation, and ensure alignment with overarching product strategy
  • Identify and assess new technological solutions, data sources, and providers for risk assessment, credit scoring, and creditworthiness data

What you need to succeed in the role:

  • 3+ years of experience working on technology-powered products as a product manager/owner in payments, e-commerce, or banking, ideally in risk management
  • Experience in solvency and creditworthiness assessments of individuals (e.g. from retail banking, consumer finance, or related fields)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop solutions for hard problems, recognizing key dependencies across teams and considering the relevant business constraints
  • Strong sense of ownership and motivation to drive innovation and change in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent skills in analyzing and leveraging data for structured decision-making
  • Familiarity with agile software development practices and processes
  • Demonstrated the ability to lead, drive consensus, and deliver in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders
  • Fluency in English 
  • Willing to move quickly and decisively to resolve urgent problems
