About the role
As a Quality Assurance Engineer d/f/m in the Gas Engineering and Outage (E&O) area, you will provide quality management guidance and support across the RWE Generation gas fleet. The post holder will monitor quality compliance with the outage/project stage gate process from planning and preparation, through to execution and review. This will involve site visits during the various gate stages to support Work Originators prepare their work packages and to provide training, guidance and solicit feedback on quality matters. Successful return to service from outages is of key importance and the role will look for continual improvement in the outage stage gate process and the application thereof.
- E&O contact person for quality across the Continental Europe Gas fleet.
- Preparation, execution and close out of projects/outages: You are responsible for ensuring quality compliance within the Stage-Gate process. Together with your team, you ensure that processes are followed and all results are achieved.
- Quality, health, safety and wellbeing: You set high standards and encourage initiatives to improve quality, health, safety and well-being.
- Stakeholder management: You are the point of contact for all quality matters, such as developing governance, guidance, training, audit and surveillance.
- Continuous improvement: You foster a culture of innovation and optimization. Together with your team, you will improve working practices across the Engineering & Outage department.
Job requirements and experience
- Degree in Engineering and professional quality/continuous improvement qualification (Lean / 6 sigma, Lead auditor etc).
- In-depth knowledge of quality management principles/Standards and a track record of delivering continual improvement in outage/project roles.
- Good technical knowledge and experience in maintenance of Gas Power Plant including auxiliary plant and equipment.
- High proficiency in Microsoft tools, particularly Excel.
- Experience of working collaboratively and are confident at leading the way on new initiatives to improve quality across international borders and engineering disciplines.
- You are a team player and know how to motivate and inspire others.
- Fluent in German and English.
Advantageous, but not essential
- Secondary language (Dutch).
- SAP and Visio experience.
