About the team
The chapter Technology & Engineering - Platform Engineering represents all experts who deliver DevOps capabilities to all our product teams. These experts are organized together to enhance those functional skillsets, improve E.ON’s DevOps tech stack and deliver a high level of cloud automation.
You are part of a product team that is building a cloud-native internal engineering platform and DevOps/GitOps pattern, which enables cloud-native software engineering across different cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and platforms.
meaningful & challenging - Your tasks
- Driving the engineering platform implementations hands-on, using modern tools such as Crossplane, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD and Git
- Building, streaming, storage and management of cloud resources as well as setting up reactive systems, including observation and monitoring
- Create and deliver reusable and immutable infrastructure and application components
- Work closely with technical architects to define the solution architecture, based on the E.ON’s Common Technology Platform Strategy an technical specifications
- Designing the development processes and coding standards for one or more technologies
- Ensuring that the technical requirements comply with the FinOps principles
- Exchange know-how and ideas with team members in an agile, open and collaborative way of working

- Deep understanding of software product development and delivery, as well as design and implementation of GitOps and DevOps approaches
- Advanced experience in modern tools such as Crossplane, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD, Git
- Solid conceptual and analytical skills
- Openness to new topics and challenges combined with out-of-the-box thinking
- Independent and self-responsible way of working, paired with strong ability to work in a team and agile environment
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Fluent English skills
