About the role
The Credit Risk Control department designs, implements, and operates procedures for credit risk analytics, liquidity risk management, the corporate FX hedging process and quantitative aspects of financial markets regulations.

Your focus will be on fulfilling the team's liquidity risk management responsibilities to the highest standard by:

  • Ensuring full transparency of the company's liquidity risk and its adequate pricing.
  • Supporting the optimisation of the company's liquidity risk profile.
  • Providing a risk-based cash-flow forecast.
  • Improving the liquidity risk methods and systems framework as appropriate.

You will also collaborate with the team to operate the department's credit risk control function by:

  • Evaluating (complex) transactions in relation to exposure and pricing, including making suggestions for improving the risk/return relationship.
  • Improving the counterparty credit risk methods and systems framework as appropriate.
  • Key interfaces are with Accounting & Controlling, Treasury, the Market Risk teams and commercial functions as well as Credit Risk.

Job requirements and experience

  • A degree, preferably in the field of business administration, economics, mathematics or science.
  • Strong management and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills, a structured approach to complex issues and a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent programming capabilities and a strong IT affinity.
  • Significant professional experience in risk management, in particular with regard to liquidity risk, counterparty credit risk and an understanding of commodity trading and the trading life cycle of financial & physical instruments.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.

Advantageous, but not essential

  • Fluency in German, both spoken and written.
  • Programming capabilities ideally in SQL, Python or C#.
